Anthony McGill is the second man through to the Winners' Group in the 2017 Championship League after recording a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Ryan Day in the Group Two Final in Coventry on Thursday.
The Scotsman made breaks of 107, 84 and 108 as he outscored his opponent by 354 points to 23 at the Ricoh Arena, and collected a total of £6,100 as he came out on top in the second group of the internet-streamed invitational event.
Having finished fourth in Group Two with three wins from his six round-robin matches, McGill followed that up with an impressive 3-1 win over table-topper Neil Robertson in the semi-finals.
The world number 18 had runs of 53, 85 and 62 on the way to setting up a showdown with Day, who was appearing in his second straight group final after edging out Mark Davis 3-2.
McGill had lost 3-1 to the Welshman in the round-robin phase on Wednesday, but made a strong start in the final with a wonderful break of 107 giving him the perfect start.
He followed that up with a neat run of 84, before a brilliant 108 total clearance sealed victory and booked his place alongside David Gilbert in the Winners' Group.
Day, who finished second in the table, joins Davis, Robertson and Mark Williams in Group Three on Monday, where Joe Perry, Barry Hawkins and Ali Carter will enter the competition.
Earlier in the day, Williams kept his Championship League campaign alive in the final round-robin match with a very important 3-1 win over Matthew Selt, who exited as a result alongside Michael White.
