John Higgins became the last man to book his place in the 2017 Championship League Winner's Group after a 3-0 victory over Mark Selby in the Group Seven final in Coventry on Tuesday.
The four-time World Champion ended the round-robin phase in second spot before going on to edge out Michael Holt 3-2 in the Semi-Finals and comfortably dispatch the world number one in the decider.
Higgins began Day Two with successive 3-1 wins over Martin Gould and Ricky Walden before suffering a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Selby in his sixth fixture.
The Scottish ace, though, gained his revenge over the reigning World Champion in the final, claiming a scrappy opening two frames before producing a break of 55 to seal the deal.
He will now join David Gilbert, Anthony McGill, Mark Davis, Barry Hawkins, Judd Trump and Ryan Day in the Winner's Group - which gets underway on Wednesday and will see each of the seven group winners battle it out for the overall title.
Elsewhere, Welsh Open winner Stuart Bingham recorded six straight wins in the round-robin phase to top the group, only to be denied in a decider by Selby in the play-offs.
Nottingham's Holt finished in third position but also found himself on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline at the hands of Higgins.
Graeme Dott produced a magnificent break of 144 in his 3-0 victory over Ricky Walden, but it was not enough to avert him finishing bottom of the group.
