Live Snooker on Monday: Championship League 2017 Group Three - Day One preview and order of play

Joe Perry enters the 2017 Championship League as Group Three gets underway on Monday, while Barry Hawkins and Ali Carter join the likes of Neil Robertson in action at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The four players will compete with Mark Williams, Mark Davis and Ryan Day for the right to join David Gilbert and Anthony McGill in the Winners' Group, as the internet-streamed invitational event continues.

World number nine Perry, who won the inaugural competition in 2008 and reached the semi-finals the following year, has failed to progress beyond the group phase in seven attempts since.

However, the Gentleman will be eager to change that record as he looks to build some momentum ahead of the Masters, as will fellow top-16 players Hawkins, Carter, Robertson and Williams.

The Hawk, who reached the final at the Alexandra Palace last year, will also be eyeing a strong run this week before his quest to go the extra step commences, while 2013 finalist Carter is aiming to navigate his way to the Winners' Group for the fourth time in the last six years.

Meanwhile, Robertson will target another decent showing in Coventry, where he topped the table following the conclusion of the round-robin phase in Group Two, as he looks to get his inconsistent season back on track.

Two-time world champion Williams survived immediate elimination from the competition by only a single frame last time out, and will be hoping for an upturn in fortune similar to the one that earned him just under £22,000 12 months ago.

Elsewhere, Ryan Day will want to make it third time lucky after reaching the Group Final twice last week, while Mark Davis is looking to make the extra couple of steps having got to the semi-finals on both occasions.

Play gets underway at 12pm GMT on Monday, with all matches being contested over the best of five frames at the Ricoh Arena in the 2017 Championship League.
