The 2016 Championship League continues on Wednesday with the start of Group Four at Crondon Park, featuring the likes of world number one Mark Selby and the in-form Neil Robertson.

The second phase of the internet-streamed event comes to a conclusion, as seven players aim to join Ronnie O'Sullivan, Judd Trump and Stephen Maguire in the Winners' Group at the start of March.

Selby is one of four remaining players from Group Three after narrowly losing out 3-2 in the final against Maguire on Tuesday, along with Ricky Walden, Michael White and Mark Williams, while Robertson, Graeme Dott and Ben Woollaston join them as they enter the competition on Wednesday.

The world number one is looking to make it third time lucky and go one better, having just come up short in the play-offs of Groups Two and Three.

Although his strong form in the Round-Robin stages, including four centuries last time out, will give him plenty of positives to build on.

'The Jester' faces tough competition, however, in the shape of Robertson, who is looking to continue his momentum following success in the Champion of Champions and UK Championship before Christmas.

The Australian was forced into withdrawing from this competition prematurely last year, so will be hoping to make up for lost time as he aims to add to his trophy collection for the season.

Joining the big-hitters are Group Three semi-finalists White and Walden, who are aiming to bounce back following whitewashes in the last four on Tuesday evening.

Walden has been in the competition from day one and the Chester cueist will be hoping to turn two semi-finals into a victory, while Welshman White will want to kick on after marking his bow in this year's event with a strong run to the last four.

Meanwhile, Williams will draw inspiration from his resurgence on Tuesday following a poor start to Group Three that saw him lose each of his opening three matches.

The two-time World Champion won two of his next three matches to clinch fifth place, meaning that he will live to fight another day in Group Four.

Another former Crucible King enters the fray in 2006 champion Dott, who returns to Crondon Park following a two-year absence and is aiming for a first appearance in the Winners' Group.

Woollaston was a late addition to this group as Stuart Bingham was initially due to play in Group Four, but the World Champion will now participate in Group Seven as his busy schedule on the Exhibition circuit would have clashed with him potentially competing in Group Five.

Therefore, the 2015 Welsh Open finalist will be keen to grab his premature opportunity with both hands as he searches for a second consecutive appearance in the Winners' Group.

Players will contest either three or four matches on day one, before returning to complete their fixture list on Thursday - where the play-offs and final will also be held.

All matches are to be played over the best of five frames (no dead frames) and will be streamed live from the unique surroundings of Crondon Park Golf Club in Essex, with £100 on offer for every frame won.
