Judd Trump aims to continue his rampant winning run by picking up a first Champion of Champions title at the expense of 2015 winner Neil Robertson in the final on Sunday.

Seven days on from securing his thirteenth ranking title at the World Open in Yushan, Trump stands on the brink of another major triumph in an incredible year of dominance.

The world number one has stormed into his second Champion of Champions final at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, five years on from his defeat to Ronnie O'Sullivan, and will be determined not to let this trophy evade him again.

The current World Champion has also claimed the Masters, World Grand Prix and International Championship to add to his triumph in China last weekend, and his breathtaking run shows no sign of relenting.

Standing between Trump and yet more major silverware is a player who knows exactly what it takes to go all the way in this prestigious competition, having done so four years ago with victory over Mark Allen in the final.

The China Open champion came through Group Four on Monday, whitewashing Martin Gould 4-0 before holding his nerve in a last-frame decider to overcome Shaun Murphy 6-5.

He then ended a five-match winless run against his recent nemesis Ronnie O'Sullivan by holding his nerve in a last-frame decider to dethrone the defending champion.

The Australian ace is bidding for his first silverware of an otherwise indifferent season but faces a player in the form of his life and knows he will require a flawless display to halt The Juddernaut.

Trump has won 11 of their 20 previous meetings, including their Semi-Final at The Masters in January, though Robertson gained his revenge with a 6-4 win in the Semi-Finals of the Players Championship two months later.

The final gets underway from 1pm GMT for a total of nine frames before being played to a finish over the best of 19 from 7pm.

Player's View:

Trump: "Over the last few years Neil has really come back to form, the same as me.

"He had a massive win over Ronnie from what I saw. They were both playing well so he will take a lot of confidence from that but my record against him is pretty good so I go in fancying my chances."

Robertson: "I was extremely determined today, concentrated on my own game and made sure I was going to be very aggressive, as he has been all week as well.

"Judd and Mark are both brilliant players, I have had some wonderful matches with them and it will be two lefties in the final. I can’t wait to get out there and play in another final."
