Mark Williams and Thepchaiya Un-Nooh go head to head for the right to be crowned the 2017 Six Reds World champion in what promises to be a mouth-watering final of the left-handers in Bangkok on Saturday.

Thirty-two players arrived in the Thai capital at the start of the week, but now just two remain and will battle it out over the best of 15 frames for the title, as well as the top prize of £80,500.

Un-Nooh, who lifted the trophy in 2015, has delighted his home crowd once again this year with some inspired performances on the way to reaching a second final.

After finishing top in a closely fought Group C, the world number 39 prevailed in a deciding frame against Stuart Bingham before ousting Liang Wenbo in the quarter-finals and what was a repeat of the 2015 showpiece.

The home favourite then produced his best performance of the tournament with a commanding 7-3 win over Anthony McGill in the semi-finals – notably producing two brilliant 71 clearances along the way, as well as a run of 51.

Un-Nooh will now be desperate to build on those levels and momentum in the showpiece, where victory would see him become only the second player after Mark Davis to capture multiple titles in this event.

Standing in his way of a second crown is two-time World champion Williams, who arrives in the final off the back of six wins from six this week.

The Welshman topped Group F with maximum points and enjoyed comfortable victories over Kyren Wilson and good friend Michael Holt in the Last 16 and quarter-finals respectively.

He also recorded a very commanding 7-3 win over world number six Marco Fu in the semis to move to the brink of what would be a first piece of silverware in 30 months since winning the 2015 World Seniors Championship.

The 2017 Six Red World Championship final gets underway at 9am on Saturday and the best of 15 frames shall determine the champion at the BCC Hall, Central Plaza Lardprao in Bangkok.
