The latest in a series of additions to the packed snooker calendar features 32 of the world's top cueists battling it out over seven days for £300,000 in prize money.

March be little over a fortnight old, but already the fourth tournament of the month is about to get underway as the season heads into its business end.

This field is comprised of the top 32 players on a one-year ranking system running from the 2014 World Championship to the 2015 Gdynia Open.

With Michael White having claimed both the Shoot-Out and Indian Open titles in recent weeks, he is very much the man of the moment heading into the competition, but faces a test of both nerve and energy back on home soil.

Five-time World Champion Ronnie O'Sullivan starts out as favourite as he bids to open his title account for 2015, while World Champion Mark Selby, Neil Robertson, Judd Trump and Shaun Murphy also vie for glory.

Belgian teenager Luca Brecel, Welsh Open finalist Ben Woollaston and Scotland's Anthony McGill are among the emerging stars in action, alongside the likes of John Higgins, Mark Allen and World Seniors Champion - Mark Williams.

The tournament runs from March 16-22 at the Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Wales.

All matches up to and including the Quarter-Finals will be contested over the best of seven frames, Semi-Finals are best of 11 frames and the final is best of 19 frames.

Matches from March 16-18 may change subject to players' availability following results in the Indian Open (March 14).
