Ronnie O'Sullivan will play Judd Trump in the Final of the 2016 European Masters after a stunning 6-0 whitewash of Neil Robertson in the Last Four at the Circul Globus in Bucharest on Saturday.
The Rocket was firing on all cylinders as he took just over an hour and a quarter to complete a comprehensive victory in what was a surprisingly one-sided contest in the Romanian capital.
O'Sullivan hit the ground running with quickfire breaks of 114 and 79 giving him an early 2-0 lead over Robertson, who had a great chance to halve the deficit in the third frame, but a missed green allowed his opponent to clear to the pink for 3-0.
The 28-time ranking event winner, who will move outright second on the all-time list should he lift the trophy on Sunday, then stretched his advantage at the mid-session interval thanks to a run of 92.
World number seven Robertson had looked impressive in his wins over Graeme Dott, Rhys Clark and Anthony McGill this week, but was struggling to capitalise on the rare opportunities that fell his way in this match.

The Australian was very unlucky after the break when he knocked in a red after splitting the pack from the blue, from which a ruthless O'Sullivan made 63 before completing the whitewash with a wonderful run of 96.
O'Sullivan set up a potentially mouth-watering showdown with Trump, who was also very dominant in his 6-2 win over Mark Selby earlier on Saturday.
The Ace came flying out the blocks in the opening two frames - outscoring his opponent 210-0 after breaks of 135 and 72 - before a close third went the way of the world number one on the black.
However, world number four Trump regained the initiative with runs of 66 and 58 and, despite World Champion Selby narrowing the deficit on the pink in frame six, a further break of 70 put him on the brink of victory, which he secured on the pink in the next.
