A snooker punter is celebrating after turning a 15-fold accumulator into a whopping £100,000-plus winner.
The customer, who wishes to remain anonymous, picked out 15 selections from the first round of the 2018 World Open in China and placed the £100 bet in his local Ladbrokes branch in Somerset on Sunday night.
The likes of Marco Fu, Barry Hawkins and Ali Carter were banker bets for the punter among his 15 selections, but he also needed a few upsets for his acca to be a winner and he got them as Jak Jones sent Zhang Anda crashing out and Fergal O’Brien dumped out Zhao Xintong.
Those results turned his £100 stake into £100,124.82 windfall and left Ladbrokes counting the cost of the history-making bet.
“This is the biggest snooker accumulator win we’ve ever seen placed on a BetStation,” Ladbrokes’ Jessica Bridge told livesnookerpro.wpengine.com.
“Predicting the wins of 15 games has sent our traders snooker loopy, but we can only applaud this gentleman’s belief.”
