Neil Robertson stormed through to his third consecutive ranking final at the inaugural Tour Championship after a 10-6 victory over Mark Allen in Llandudno on Friday.

The Australian ace, who claimed the Welsh Open title before losing out to Ronnie O'Sullivan in the Players Championship final, set up an immediate rematch with 'The Rocket' by seeing off Allen at Venue Cymru.

Robertson recovered from 2-0 down to forge a 5-3 lead following the first session, and though he was pegged back to parity at six-all, reeled off four consecutive frames to secure his progress.

"I started off a little bit poor in the first couple of frames this afternoon but then I really got motoring and won four frames in a row with one visits which set up a good lead going into tonight.

"This is my third final in a row and I'm really excited to play Ronnie in a best of 25 - that doesn't happen too often.

"It's a fantastic test to see where I'm at going into Sheffield because the last final we played, it didn't matter who was his opponent, you can't play any better than that, so hopefully he drops down from that level.

"I will be ready," he added.

It was Allen who began brightly by taking the first frame and doubling his lead with a break of 78 before Robertson halved the deficit and followed up with magnificent breaks of 106 and 101 to hit the front.

The 2010 World Champion added a 61 break to extend his lead and overturned a 55-point deficit with a clinical 69 clearance to make it five in a row.

Allen stopped the rot before the interval with a well-taken 77, and after Robertson clinched the first frame of the evening, the Northern Irishman hit back with three consecutive frames, including breaks of 82 and 103 to draw level at six-all.

Robertson, though, emphatically crushed any hopes of a turnaround with consecutive breaks of 106, 87 and 52 to make it 9-6, before edging frame 16 to clinch victory.
