The qualifying phase of the 2018 European Masters takes place in Preston and you can watch the action streamed exclusively live online.

The tournament is the sixth ranking event of the 2018/19 season and offers a total prize fund of £366,000.

All main tour professionals are required to win one qualifying round match in order to secure their place in the world ranking event in Lommel, Belgium, from October 1-7.

Judd Trump is the defending champion after he defeated Stuart Bingham 9-7 in last year’s final to claim the title for the second successive year.

Trump heads the list of players in qualifying action, alongside reigning and World Champion and World Open winner Mark Williams and world number one Mark Selby.

World finalist John Higgins, Masters Champion Mark Allen and former World Champions Neil Robertson and Shaun Murphy are also part of a star-studded field of entrants.

Ronnie O’Sullivan had been due to face Eden Sharav on Friday but has withdrawn from the event due to personal reasons.

The qualifiers are held from August 17-18 at the Preston Guild Hall, with selected matches from each session available to watch exclusively live on desktop or mobile devices in the UK and various other regions.
