The 2017/18 snooker season resumes with the qualifying stages for the Indian Open and selected matches are available to watch exclusively live online.
Just over a week since the conclusion of the Hong Kong Masters, 114 players will do battle for the 57 remaining places in the final stages of the fourth ranking event this season.
Making its fourth appearance on the ever-growing world snooker calendar, the main event will run from September 12 to 16 in the city of Vishakhapatnam.
Anthony McGill is the reigning champion after beating Kyren Wilson 5-2 in last year’s final and, as a result, his first-round clash with home favourite Aditya Mehta has been held over to the main venue.
Michael White is the other former winner appearing in the 2017 event, while inaugural champion Ding Junhui has opted not to participate this year.
Wilson, who is aiming to go the extra step 12 months on, is one of six elite players in action in Preston this week, along with world number two John Higgins and former World champion Stuart Bingham.
Neil Robertson is looking to build on his triumph at the Hong Kong Masters, while Ali Carter and Mark Allen are the other top-16 players on display at the Guild Hall.
Masters runner-up Joe Perry also falls into that category, along with the likes of David Gilbert and Mark King, while the crowd will be looking forward to seeing favourites Jimmy White and Ken Doherty.
The qualifying round runs from August 1-2, with selected matches from each session streamed exclusively live on desktop or mobile devices in the UK and various other regions.
