Snooker’s second £1 milllion event takes centre stage in Beijing this week, and you can follow all the latest results and fixture lists here.

The prestigious ranking tournament enters an exciting new chapter, offering a top prize of £225,000 and a total prize fund of £1 million – almost double last year’s total of £510,000, when the top prize was £85,000.

It is now the first tournament outside of the World Championship to break the £1 million prize fund barrier and is a tantalising warm-up to the sport’s show-piece in Sheffield later this month.

A change for 2018 also sees the format of this competition increased, with First Round matches now best of 11 frames and the final raised to best of 21.

World number one Mark Selby is the defending champion, having defeated Mark Williams 10-8 in last year’s final.

Selby, Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Williams, Ding Junhui, Judd Trump and Peter Ebdon have all managed to get their hands on this trophy one more than one occasion since 1999.

O’Sullivan is bidding for his sixth ranking title of the season, while Chinese superstar Ding aims to shine on home soil, as do Liang Wenbo and Yan Bingtao.

The likes of Neil Robertson, Shaun Murphy, Mark Allen and Kyren Wilson will also have their sights set on the lucrative first prize.

The tournament runs from April 2-8 at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Beijing. All matches up to and including the Quarter-Finals are to be contested over the best of 11 frames, with Semi-Finals best of 19 frames and the final best of 21.
