Kyren Wilson and Stuart Bingham face off for the right to complete the Quarter-Final line-up at the 2022 Masters on Wednesday night.

The final First Round tie at Alexandra Palace sees the 2020 Masters Champion and 2018 runner-up go head-to-head in what has the makings of a close-run epic.

Wilson, who lost out to Mark Allen in the final here four years ago, returns for his sixth consecutive Masters appearance as he bids to reach the Quarter-Finals for the third year in a row.

The four-time ranking event winner heads to Ally Pally looking to banish back-to-back First Round exits in ranking competition, having made the Semi-Finals of the Champion of Champions and UK Championship prior to that.

Wilson, who celebrated his 30th birthday shortly before Christmas, is out to avenge his 6-4 defeat to Bingham when the pair met in the Quarter-Finals here two years ago.

Bingham makes the short trip from Essex for his 12th Masters appearance, having made his debut at the Wembley Conference Centre back in 2006.

After defeating Wilson in the Last Eight, Bingham went on to claim the title on his last visit to this atmospheric venue in 2020 and put up a stern defence of his crown in Milton Keynes last year, losing in a deciding frame to eventual champion Yan Bingtao in the Semi-Finals.

Bingham has endured a relatively quiet season so far by his standards, with his best run coming at the World Grand Prix three weeks ago when he reached the Semi-Finals.

Wilson holds the upper-hand between the two when it comes to the head-to-head record, having won five of their eight previous meetings dating back to 2013.

Their latest show-down gets under way from 7pm GMT on Wednesday and will be contested over the best of 11 frames.

Former Masters Champion Judd Trump await the winner in the Quarter-Finals on Friday.
