World Snooker Tour Calendar 2026-27
The 2026-27 WST season is quickly approaching with another packed calendar and plenty for snooker fans to look forward to.
A total of 129 players – comprised of 97 players from the previous season and 32 new professionals – will compete across 18 ranking tournaments and several invitational events (subject to change).
It all starts on June 10 – just 37 days after the 2025-26 campaign concluded with Wu Yize’s dramatic 18-17 victory over Shaun Murphy in the World Championship final – with the China Open qualifiers at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.
Once again, the first silverware of the season will be lifted at the same venue, with the Championship League winner crowned on July 15.
Snooker’s big three events – the UK Championship, The Masters and the World Championship – headline the campaign, with all venues and formats set to remain unchanged from last season.
First up is the UK Championship at the York Barbican between November 28 and December 6, with Mark Selby the reigning champion.
Meanwhile, the Masters takes centre stage at London’s Alexandra Palace, where Kyren Wilson will defend his title from January 10-17.
As always, the season will then reach its dramatic climax with the World Championship at The Crucible in Sheffield from April 17 to May 3, with defending champion Wu the latest player tasked with breaking the dreaded “Crucible Curse”.
Snooker fans will also have an eye on the Players Series – comprising the World Grand Prix, Players Championship and Tour Championship.
Last season saw Zhao Xintong become the first player to win all three events in the same campaign.
The top 32 players on the one-year list will contest the World Grand Prix from February 16-21 in Hong Kong. The Players Championship, featuring the top 16 players on the one-year list, will follow at the Telford International Centre from March 2-7.
The top eight will then do battle at the Tour Championship at Manchester Central from March 29 to April 4.
There is also no change to the Home Nations Series – consisting of the English Open, Northern Ireland Open, Scottish Open and Welsh Open.
Once more, the English Open will kick off the series at the Brentwood Centre from September 7-13, before the popular Waterfront Hall in Belfast hosts the Northern Ireland Open from October 18-25.
The Scottish Open takes place from December 14-20 at Edinburgh’s Meadowbank Sports Centre, while the series concludes at Venue Cymru in Llandudno with the Welsh Open from February 8-14.
Unfortunately, there will be no return to the Middle East this season, with the lucrative Saudi Arabia Masters and Riyadh Season Championship both removed from the calendar.
However, the Champion of Champions remains and will be played at the Mattioli Arena from November 9-15, while an old favourite is back for the first time in seven years.
Last held in 2019, the China Open was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but returns at the Riverside Sports Centre in Taiyuan between August 8-16.
In addition to the invitational Shanghai Masters (July 27 to August 2), there will be a further four ranking events in China this season with the Wuhan Open (August 23-29), Xi’an Grand Prix (September 28 to October 4), International Championship (October 31 to November 7) and the World Open (March 15-21).
