The first Home Nation Series event of the season features 128 players competing for a £100,000 top prize at the Brentwood Centre in Essex.
A change to this season’s Home Nation Series format sees players seeded 65-96 face those seeded 97-128 in Round One, before those 32 winners take on players seeded 33-64 in Round Two. Those 32 winners then progress to Round Three to meet the top 32 seeds.
Judd Trump is the defending champion after he defeated Zhang Anda 9-7 in last year’s final.
Trump, who also claimed this title in 2020, is among a star-studded field which also includes seven-time World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan and reigning World Champion Kyren Wilson.
Former World Champions John Higgins, Mark Selby, Shaun Murphy, Mark Williams, Luca Brecel and Stuart Bingham also feature, alongside Mark Allen, Ali Carter, Gary Wilson and Si Jiahui.
All matches up to and including the Last 16 are to be contested over the best of seven frames, while Quarter-Finals are best of nine, semi-finals best of 11 and the final best of 17.
