World Seniors Championship
Snooker stars of yesteryear return to the baize for the 2020 World Seniors Championship.
The eleventh edition of the tournament features 16 players aged over 40 competing at the sport’s spiritual home – The Crucible Theatre.
This year’s field includes four former World Champions, as well as multiple former ranking event winners, as they compete for the £25,000 top prize.
Jimmy White returns to Sheffield as the defending champion, having defeated Darren Morgan 5-3 in last year’s final to taste success at The Crucible for the first time.
The six-time world finalist is joined in the line-up by seven-time World Champion Stephen Hendry, 1997 World Champion Ken Doherty, 1985 World Champion Dennis Taylor and 1986 World Champion Joe Johnson.
Former world finalist Nigel Bond, 2017 World Seniors champion Peter Lines and Welsh ace Morgan also feature in a strong field.
The World Seniors Championship, sanctioned by the WPBSA, takes place from August 19-22 and will be held behind closed doors.
