Judd Trump and Kyren Wilson lock horns in a blockbuster 2026 Shanghai Masters final between the world number one and defending champion.
The two most recent champions do battle over the best of 21 frames in a fitting finale to a wonderful week of high-quality action at Luwan Indoor Stadium.
Trump, the 2024 champion, is aiming to become the fourth multiple winner of the popular invitational event, after Ronnie O’Sullivan, Ding Junhui and defending champion Wilson, who is bidding to complete a hat-trick of titles.
Coincidentally, the first of these came back in 2015, when he made his big breakthrough with a dramatic 10-9 victory over Trump in the final.
Their most recent encounter also came in a final and brought a 10-9 win for the Warrior, in the 2025 Players Championship showpiece.
Excluding the Championship League, Wilson has won four of the last five meetings between the players, and has beaten the cream of the crop this week to keep his title defence firmly on track.
Despite trailing having led 3-1 against both Ronnie O’Sullivan and Mark Williams, the Warrior battled through – producing a break of 113 against the latter in the decider.
He then overturned 4-2 and 8-6 deficits in the semi-finals against Zhao Xintong – winning each of the last four frames for the loss of just 26 points, while hitting breaks of 101 and 129 on the way to a 10-8 win.
Meanwhile, Trump is fresh from a 10-6 victory over reigning World champion Wu Yize, which secured his place in a fifth Shanghai showpiece.
The Ace, who was also runner-up in this event in 2012 and 2017, hit two centuries during his opening 6-4 win against fellow left-hander Barry Hawkins, before producing three on the spin during a comprehensive 6-0 whitewash of John Higgins in the quarter-finals.
Trump now looks to beat Wilson for only the second time in what will be the seventh final they have contested, with his only previous such triumph coming at the 2020 Gibraltar Open.
The match breaks off at 7am BST (2pm local time) on Sunday with the opening 10 frames, before playing to a conclusion from 12.30pm (7.30pm local time) at Luwan Indoor Stadium.
