German Masters Snooker 2026 | Day One Preview and Order of Play
Kyren Wilson begins his German Masters title defence on Monday, with Mark Williams and Mark Allen also in action at the Tempodrom in Berlin.
The Warrior lifted the Brandon Parker trophy – named after his former manager – for a second time 12 months ago, after beating Barry Hawkins 10-9 in an epic final.
Wilson added to his triumph from six years previously in the German capital, where he returns from fresh from completing part two of a potential career Triple Crown at the Masters.
The world number two enjoyed a successful return to form, after cue troubles culminated in an early exit from the UK Championship in November.
Wilson launches his quest to match Judd Trump on three German Masters crowns against Robert Milkins, who reached the semi-finals here in 2023.
Williams is the other two-time champion in action on the opening day, taking on Sanderson Lam. The Welshman lifted the trophy in 2011 and 2018, while he was also runner-up at the non-ranking edition of the event in 1998.
Last year’s finalist Hawkins’ mission to go the extra step starts against good friend Mark Davis, while 2015 runner-up Shaun Murphy’s bid to go one better begins against Zak Surety.
English Open champion Allen, a semi-finalist in 2022, locks horns with fellow left-hander Oliver Lines, while the day’s other match sees Scottish Open winner Chris Wakelin go up against Ishpreet Singh Chadha.
Play gets under way at 1pm GMT on Monday (2pm local time) with all matches contested over the best of nine frames at the Tempodrom in Berlin.
