Neil Robertson v Barry Hawkins live stream | Players Championship 2022 Final preview
Neil Robertson and Barry Hawkins go head to head for the right to be crowned the 2022 Players Championship winner in Wolverhampton on Sunday.
Two of the best left-handers in the game do battle at Aldersley Leisure Village for the trophy and top prize of £125,000.
It is the second time in as many months that the pair will contest a final, having also faced off in the Masters showpiece with Robertson prevailing 10-4 to claim his second title.
The Australian, who also captured the English Open in November, is now looking to land his third silverware of the season.
He is also looking to lift this trophy for the first time, having fallen at the final hurdle on three occasions in 2012, 2013 and 2019.
Despite only recently ending his isolation period following a positive COVID-19 test, Robertson has looked solid on the way to reaching his 35th ranking final.
The Thunder toppled Kyren Wilson and Ronnie O’Sullivan before seeing off namesake Jimmy Robertson 6-1 in the semi-finals on Saturday.
Meanwhile, this is the eighth ranking event final of Hawkins’ career – and first since the 2018 China Open.
The Hawk, who is seeking a fourth title, was the last player to qualify for this tournament, but has certainly capitalised on his opportunity.
The 2014 champion has scored well all week; compiling two centuries and a further 12 breaks over 50.
He produced impressive performances to defeat reigning UK and German Masters champion Zhao Xintong and Ricky Walden, while also demonstrated brilliant determination to recover from 5-4 down to scrape past Yan Bingtao in a deciding frame.
Play gets underway at 1pm GMT on Sunday with the first eight frames, before concluding with a maximum of 11 from 7pm GMT.
A live stream of the final is available to watch in the UK and various other regions worldwide.
