Saudi World Masters of Snooker 2024 | Draw, Live Scores and Schedule of Play
The inaugural Saudi World Masters of Snooker takes centre stage this week, and you can follow all the latest results and schedule of play here.
The World Snooker Tour heads to Saudi Arabia for the first time, with the top 10 players joining two local wildcards at the Global Theatre in Boulevard City, Riyadh from March 4 to 6.
A top prize of £250,000 is on offer to the winner of the new tournament, which will be played under traditional snooker rules, but with the introduction of a new gold ball – the Riyadh Season ball – worth 20 points.
This means players will have the opportunity to compile a break of 167 by potting the golden ball, which will be positioned at the centre of the baulk cushion, but only after completing a 147. Once the 147 is no longer possible, the additional ball will be removed from the table.
Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump and Mark Selby are joined by World champion Luca Brecel, while Mark Allen, Mark Williams, Shaun Murphy and Mark Williams will also be in action.
Ding Junhui and John Higgins were added to the field last week, joining two wildcards in Saudi Arabia’s Omar Alajlani and reigning WSF World Men’s Snooker champion Ali Alobaidli of Qatar.
Matches up to and including the semi-finals will be played over the best of seven frames, with the final contested over the best of nine.
