Welsh Open Snooker 2026 | Draw, Live Scores and Schedule of Play
The busy WST schedule continues this week with the 2026 Welsh Open, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.
Less than 24 hours after Zhao Xintong’s Players Championship triumph, the world’s best players descend on Venue Cymru in Llandudno between February 23 and March 1.
The third-longest-running event on the tour, the Welsh Open provides the final leg of this season’s Home Nations Series, with the Ray Reardon trophy and top prize of £100,000 on offer to the winner.
All players ranked outside the world’s top 32 were required to win at least one qualifying-round match in Sheffield last month to book their place at the main venue.
Mark Selby is the reigning champion after beating 2013 winner Stephen Maguire 9-6 in last year’s final to claim his second title.
The Jester, who also triumphed in Newport in 2008, is joined in the 2026 draw by record five-time champion John Higgins, as well as fellow two-time winners Mark Williams and Neil Robertson.
Shaun Murphy, Ding Junhui, Ali Carter, Stuart Bingham and Gary Wilson are the other players on the roll of honour in this year’s field.
World champion Zhao, who also won the World Grand Prix, is the current man in form, though his quest for a third straight ranking title will also face competition from the likes of world number two Kyren Wilson, Mark Allen and Barry Hawkins.
Matches up to and including the last 16 are to be contested over the best of seven frames, with quarter-finals the best of nine, semi-finals best of 11 and final best of 17.
