Welsh Open Snooker 2021 Draw, Live Scores and Tournament Schedule
Welsh Open snooker heads to Celtic Manor in 2021 and you can follow the latest results and match schedules here.
The tenth ranking event of the season and the 30th edition of the Welsh Open features 128 players competing for £405,000 in prize money.
The prestigious tournament will be held at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport for the first time, behind closed doors.
It is the fifth of six events in the European Series and the fourth and final of this season’s Home Nations Series.
Shaun Murphy is the defending champion after he thrashed Kyren Wilson 9-1 in last year’s final in Cardiff.
Murphy is among an elite group of 15 players to have lifted this famous trophy since the event began back in 1992.
John Higgins is the most decorated player in Welsh Open history, having claimed the title on five occasions and finished runner-up on a further two.
Ronnie O’Sullivan is bidding to equal Higgins’ record tally as he steps up preparations for his World Championship title defence in two month’s time.
Welsh legend Mark Williams is among a host of other former champions in action, including Neil Robertson, Mark Selby, Stuart Bingham, Ali Carter, Ding Junhui, Ken Doherty and Stephen Maguire.
The tournament runs from February 15-21, with all matches up to and including the Last 16 to be contested over the best of seven frames, Quarter-Finals best of nine, Semi-Finals best of 11 and the final best of 17.
