Neil Robertson and Jack Lisowski go head to head in round two of the World Championship for the second year running in Sheffield.

Two of the best left-handers and scorers in the game lock horns in what promises to be another high-quality encounter at the Crucible.

Last year’s showdown did not disappoint. The two players produced five centuries and a further 14 breaks over 50 between them as Robertson prevailed 13-9.

In fact, the Thunder has come through all six of his showdowns with Jackpot outside the Championship League, and will certainly be confident of extending that streak.

The 2010 champion is the red-hot favourite to claim a second Crucible crown this fortnight, having already captured four titles during the season.

Despite a slow start that saw him fall 3-1 behind, the Australian eventually took control to record a commanding 10-5 victory over debutant Ashley Hugill in the opening round.

The world number three is now looking to reach the quarter-finals of snooker’s blue-riband event for the fourth time in as many years.

Meanwhile, Lisowski stumbled over the first hurdle against two-time runner-up Matthew Stevens.

The six-time ranking event finalist eventually advanced a 10-8 winner after being pegged back from 6-2 and 9-6 up.

Jackpot is aiming to reach the quarter-finals for the first time in what is his sixth appearance at the Crucible.

And the world number 14 knows he cannot afford even the slightest lapse in his performance levels if he is to deny the in-form Robertson.

The winner will play either John Higgins or Noppon Saengkham in the quarter-finals at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

Play gets underway at 7pm BST on Saturday with the opening eight frames, with another eight following at 2.30pm the following day before drawing to a conclusion at 7pm on Monday.
