Neil Robertson v Kyren Wilson live stream: World Snooker Championship 2021 preview – Thunder and Warrior collide
Neil Robertson aims to remain on course for a second World Championship title when he faces 2020 runner-up Kyren Wilson in the Quarter-Finals at The Crucible.
One of four mouth-watering Quarter-Finals in Sheffield sees two of the sport’s most consistent all-round performers collide in what has the makings of a close-run classic.
Robertson came into the tournament as one of the hot favourites, having picked up both the UK Championship and Tour Championship titles within the last five months.
He was almost unplayable during his run to glory at the Tour Championship, dropping just 12 frames in his three wins and making eleven centuries in the process to underline his status as one of the sport’s most prolific break-builders.
The left-hander will feel he is long overdue a strong tilt at the world title, having lost in consecutive Crucible Quarter-Finals and reaching just one Semi-Final since his maiden triumph eleven years ago.
Robertson began his campaign with a commanding 10-3 victory over Liang Wenbo on the opening weekend before dispatching multiple ranking finalist Jack Lisowski 13-9 in the Last 16.
The Aussie ace has already made seven centuries en route to the Quarter-Finals, more than any other player in the competition.
Wilson, meanwhile, has continued his superb spell of consistency at The Crucible by progressing to a sixth consecutive Quarter-Final.
The Kettering ace, who fell short to Ronnie O’Sullivan in last year’s final, will be determined to go one better and become the latest new winner of the sport’s most prestigious trophy.
The four-time ranking event winner overcame 2019 semi-finalist Gary Wilson 10-8 in the opening round before battling his way past 2013 finalist Barry Hawkins.
Wilson has won his last two meetings with Robertson, both in Quarter-Finals (2020 Welsh Open and 2021 Players Championship), prior to which the Australian had won their first two encounters.
The match gets underway from 10am BST on Tuesday April 27 for a total of eight frames, resuming at 7pm, before being played to a finish over the best of 25 from 10am on Wednesday.
Either world number one and 2019 World Champion Judd Trump or 2005 World Champion Shaun Murphy will await the winner in the Semi-Finals.
The match will be available to watch live on desktop, mobile or tablet devices in the UK and various other regions worldwide.
