The world’s top cueists head to The Crucible for the 2023 World Snooker Championship, and a live stream is available for all matches.

The sport’s annual show-piece features the world’s top 16 ranked players alongside a further 16 qualifiers as they battle it out for £2.4 million in prize money from April 15 to May 1.

A host of decorated stars and exciting emerging talents lock horns at the sport’s spiritual home for the 47th consecutive staging in Sheffield.

Ronnie O’Sullivan is vying to make history by becoming an eight-time World Champion to eclipse the joint record he currently holds with Stephen Hendry.

O’Sullivan defeated rival Judd Trump in an emotional final last May and is aiming to defend the world title for the second time, having done first so in 2013.

Fifth seed Trump is out to atone for last year’s heartbreak and add to his 2019 triumph to become the latest multiple World Champion.

Mark Selby and John Higgins will set out in search of their fifth title, while Mark Williams is targeting his fourth Crucible crown, having last triumphed in 2018.

Other star names aiming to repeat their former glories in Sheffield include Shaun Murphy, Neil Robertson and Stuart Bingham, while former finalists in action include Ali Carter, Ding Junhui and Kyren Wilson.

UK Champion Mark Allen, six-time ranking event finalist Jack Lisowski and former Crucible semi-finalists David Gilbert and Gary Wilson are among those vying to rule the worlds for the first time.

Fan Zhengyi, Jak Jones, Pang Junxu, Si Jiahui, and Wu Yize are the five debutants in this year’s competition.

All matches across the 17 days are to be streamed live on desktop, mobile or tablet devices in the UK and various other regions worldwide.
