The 2026-27 snooker season commences with the China Open qualifiers from Leicester, and you can follow the latest results and schedule here.

A mainstay on the WST calendar between 2005 and 2019 before it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament returns after a seven-year absence.

Just 37 days after Wu Yize lifted the World Championship trophy at the Crucible Theatre, another action-packed campaign is set to get under way at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.

A total of 112 players will compete across four rounds and five days of play from June 10-14, for the right to join the top 16 at the main event at the Riverside Sports Centre in Taiyuan.

Players ranked 81st to 128th – or top-up amateurs like Robert Milkins – will appear in round one, including Jimmy White and Crucible qualifier Antoni Kowalski, as well as top ladies stars Reanne Evans, Bai Yulu and Ng On Yee.

Marco Fu and Matthew Stevens are among the players ranked 49th to 80th who enter the tournament in round two, while former World champions Luca Brecel and Stuart Bingham start in round three.

Jack Lisowski, Thepchaiya Un-Nooh and Stan Moody are among the other players seeded between 17th and 48th who come into the tournament at this stage, while the 32 winners face off in the final round for one of the 16 places in the main draw.

All matches are to be contested over the best of 11 frames.
