Masters Snooker returns to Alexandra Palace in 2023, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.

The star-studded tournament sees 16 of the world’s top cueists competing from January 8-15 for £725,000 in prize money and the iconic Paul Hunter Trophy.

An ever-present on the snooker calendar since 1975, the Masters has provided some of the most iconic moments in the sport’s history and continues to attract sell-out crowds.

Neil Robertson is the defending champion after he defeated Barry Hawkins 10-4 in last year’s final to claim the title for the second time.

Reigning World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan holds the record for the most Masters titles, having triumphed on seven occasions and finished runner-up a further six times.

Mark Selby is on the hunt for a fourth Masters title, while John Higgins and Mark Williams have both lifted this trophy on two previous occasions.

Other former champions in this year’s line-up include Judd Trump, Mark Allen, Shaun Murphy and Stuart Bingham.

The top 16 players in the world rankings following the UK Championship were invited to compete, however, the sport’s governing body, the WPBSA subsequently suspended Yan Bingtao and Zhao Xintong from professional competition amid a match-fixing investigation.

2021 champion Yan has been replaced in the draw by David Gilbert, while Zhao is replaced by Hossein Vafaei – who is the only debutant in this year’s field and becomes the first Iranian player to compete in The Masters.

All matches up to and including the Semi-Finals are to be contested over the best of 11 frames, with the final best of 19.
