Judd Trump v Stuart Bingham live stream | Masters 2023 Semi-Final preview
Former Masters champions Judd Trump and Stuart Bingham collide for a place in the 2023 final at Alexandra Palace on Saturday evening.
The decorated duo face off in front of a sell-out crowd in the capital for the right to take on Mark Williams in Sunday’s show-piece.
Trump lifted this prestigious trophy in 2019 and is appearing in a sixth Semi-Final here since 2012 as he continues his pursuit of a first tournament win of the season.
The world number four was installed as the new tournament favourite following the exit of Ronnie O’Sullivan on Thursday but has had to dig deep to keep his campaign on track.
Trump can count himself somewhat fortunate to be still in contention for the title, having recovered from 5-3 down to deny Ryan Day in a decider, despite being far below his best.
He then battled his way to a deciding frame win over Barry Hawkins, avenging his defeat by the same scoreline in last year’s Semi-Finals.
The Bristolian produced a brace of century breaks en route to victory over ‘The Hawk’, including a 143 – the joint highest of the tournament so far alongside Hossein Vafaei and Williams.
Bingham, meanwhile, finds himself in a fourth Masters Semi-Final since 2016 following contrastingly dominant wins earlier in the week.
The 2020 champion held off a late rally from Kyren Wilson to clinch a 6-3 victory in Round One, before pulling off an emphatic 6-0 whitewash of 2015 champion Shaun Murphy on Friday.
A masterclass of a performance from ‘Ball Run’ featured two centuries, ensuring a return to his brilliant best after an otherwise below-par season so far by his standards.
The pair have met on 20 previous occasions since 2010, with Trump claiming 13 wins, including the Quarter-Finals of this year’s World Championship.
Their latest show-down gets under way from 7pm GMT and will be contested over the best of 11 frames.
