Judd Trump renews his rivalry with Zhao Xintong in a mouth-watering Riyadh Season Snooker Championship semi-final on Friday.

The world number one locks horns with the reigning World champion for the second week running, having also met at this stage of the Champion of Champions.

Trump reeled off six successive frames from 2-0 down to prevail a 6-2 winner, and will be hoping it is a case of deja vu at the Global Theatre in Boulevard City.

The Ace was runner-up to Mark Selby in Leicester last weekend, extending his wait for silverware in 2025, but his performance against Mark Williams in the opening round suggested he could end it in Riyadh.

Indeed, having returned to using his old cue after struggling to adapt to a new one, took just 48 minutes to complete a 4-0 whitewash of the player he edged out on the final black at the inaugural Saudi Arabia Masters in September 2024.

Trump hit back-to-back centuries of 100 and 102 along the way, while outscoring his opponent by 332 points to 20.

Zhao was also in impressive form against Shaun Murphy in the quarter-finals, as he matched his best performance of the season in any tournament.

The World champion produced trademark nerveless counter clearances of 69 and 88 on the way to sealing a 4-2 win, and reaching his third semi-final in as many tournaments.

Zhao will now look to go those extra couple of steps and claim silverware for the first time since his historic Crucible triumph.

It is set to be another blockbuster semi-final showdown between the pair, with the winner facing either Neil Robertson or Mark Allen in the final later on Friday.

The match breaks off at around 3.30pm GMT (6.30pm local time) and will be contested over the best of seven frames at the Global Theatre in Boulevard City, Riyadh.
