Shanghai Masters Snooker 2024 | Draw, Results, Live Scores and Schedule of Play
Shanghai Masters snooker returns in 2024, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.
The Shanghai Masters was first staged in 2007 and has grown to become one of the most lucrative events on the calendar, with £825,000 in prize money on offer.
The 14th staging of the tournament takes place at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium from July 15-21 and features the world’s top 16 ranked players joined by the four next-best Chinese players and four amateur wild cards.
Ronnie O’Sullivan is the defending champion after he defeated Luca Brecel 11-9 in last year’s final to continue his remarkable unbeaten record stretching back to 2016.
Five-time champion O’Sullivan first triumphed here in 2009 and has won the last four stagings of the event (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2023).
Only home favourite Ding Junhui (2013 and 2016) has joined O’Sullivan in claiming the crown on more than one occasion.
A star-studded line-up also includes reigning World Champion Kyren Wilson – who secured his first ranking title here in 2015.
Former World Champions Mark Selby, John Higgins, Judd Trump, Mark Williams, Neil Robertson and Shaun Murphy also feature.
All matches up to and including the Quarter-Finals are to be contested over the best of 11 frames, with Semi-Finals best of 19 and the final best of 21.
