Judd Trump sees off Si Jiahui to seal third German Masters title
Judd Trump completed a hat-trick of German Masters titles after beating Si Jiahui 10-5 in the final at Berlin’s Tempodrom on Sunday.
The Ace hit two centuries – taking his tally for the week to a record-breaking nine – and a further seven breaks over 50 as he became the first player to win the popular tournament on three occasions, adding to his triumphs in 2020 and 2021.
Trump, who also sealed the BetVictor European Series bonus of Β£150,000 earlier this week, claimed his fourth ranking silverware of a wonderful season – in which he has already won the English Open, Wuhan Open and Northern Ireland Open – and the 27th of his career.
Pocketing the top prize of Β£80,000, the world number two took his earnings for the campaign beyond Β£800,000 as he closes the gap on Ronnie O’Sullivan at the summit of the rankings.

“It’s been an amazing season so far, I’ve reached seven finals and this is my fourth win,” he told Eurosport.
“The crowds have been amazing. This is definitely one of my favourite events on the calendar.
“I think every tournament is special, but when you get to play in front of a crowd like this – these are the moments you remember at the end of your career.
“I’m so happy to be back here playing and so happy to win in front of this incredible crowd.”
Appearing in his seventh final of the season, Trump cancelled out an earlier 29 from Si with 52 before a tight snooker on the yellow paved the way for him to take the opening frame.

First-time ranking finalist Si responded with breaks of 73 and 60 as he won two of the next three frames to level at the mid-session interval.
Although, Trump took three of the next four with runs of 51, 82 and 52 helping move him 5-3 to the good at the conclusion of the afternoon.
A high-quality start to the evening session brought three centuries in as many frames.
Si’s superb 123 clearance was countered by breaks of 113 and 108 from Trump, who rapidly closed in on victory at 8-4 with a further contribution of 74.
Those back-to-back centuries took the Ace’s tally for the week to nine; a record for a single edition of the German Masters.
Si stopped the rot with 64 but there was no denying the world number two, with runs of 66 and 81 seeing him over the line.
