Judd Trump launches his quest for a fourth consecutive Northern Ireland Open title on an exciting second day at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast.

Reigning champion Trump is among a host of star names to take their bow on what is billed as ‘Super Sunday’ at the opening Home Nations event of this season.

The Ace, who recently surrendered his number-one ranking to Mark Selby, has won each of his last 21 matches in this tournament; including 9-7 victories over Ronnie O’Sullivan in the last three finals.

His latest mission to extend that remarkable run commences against Welshman Andrew Pagett.

Meanwhile, three-time runner-up O’Sullivan launches his tournament against Stuart Carrington, as World champion Selby faces amateur Mark Lloyd.

Neil Robertson is yet to surpass the third round of this event. The world number four will be eager to put that right as he starts against veteran Barry Pinches, while 2016 semi-finalist Kyren Wilson locks horns with Jamie Clarke.

British Open champion Mark Williams – a winner here in 2017 – looks to build on his momentum against Mark Joyce, as 2016 finalist Barry Hawkins faces teenager Iulian Boiko.

Elsewhere, home favourite – and Championship League runner-up – Mark Allen opens against Si Jiahui, while four-time World champion John Higgins plays Joe O’Connor.

Masters champion – and 2017 Northern Ireland Open finalist – Yan Bingtao locks horns with Hossein Vafaei, as Stephen Maguire and Stuart Bingham go up against Steven Hallworth and Ben Hancorn respectively.

Jack Lisowski and Gary Wilson are looking to avoid first-round exits at this event for a third successive year.

Six-time ranking event finalist Lisowski takes on Ashley Hugill, while British Open runner-up Wilson faces reigning Welsh Open champion Jordan Brown.

The action gets underway at 10am BST on Sunday, with all matches contested over the best of seven frames at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast.
