Judd Trump v Mark Williams live stream | Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters final preview
Judd Trump does battle with Mark Williams in a blockbuster Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters final showdown in Riyadh on Saturday.
Snooker’s two most decorated left-handers – boasting a combined 11 Triple Crowns including four World titles – go head to head for the right to be crowned the inaugural champion at the Green Halls.
Whoever prevails in the best-of-19 extravaganza will also land the bumper top prize of £500,000.
That would mean the biggest pay day of Williams’ career – surpassing the £425,000 he pocketed for his 2018 Crucible triumph – and would equal Trump’s earnings from his Sheffield success the following year.
Trump has made it three finals in three tournaments of what has been a superb season so far, in which he has already landed the Shanghai Masters crown and been runner-up to Kyren Wilson at the inaugural Xi’an Grand Prix.
The Ace began the week with a brilliant fightback from 4-0 down against Wu Yize, before comfortably seeing off fellow left-handers Neil Robertson and Jack Lisowski. He then held his nerve in the semi-finals against Shaun Murphy, who recovered from 5-3 behind to force a decider, to record his 14th win from 15 matches this term.
World number one Trump is now gearing up for his 46th ranking final, where a 29th title would see him surpass Steve Davis on the all-time list.
Williams, on the hand, will be looking to close the gap on him to just one with what would be his 27th ranking triumph from 42 showpieces.
The Welshman scraped past Thepchaiya Un-Nooh 5-4 in his opener, before enjoying a more comfortable 6-2 victory over Stuart Bingham and recording a ruthless 6-0 whitewash of Jimmy Robertson.
Despite sitting through a 116 in the first frame of his semi-final showdown with Si Jiahui, who ousted Ronnie O’Sullivan in the last eight, the three-time World champion won six of the next eight to book his place in Saturday’s showpiece.
It will be the second contested by Trump and Williams, with the Ace prevailing 10-8 in their high-quality 2023 Masters decider.
Play gets under way at 12pm BST (2pm local time) on Saturday with the opening eight frames, before playing to a conclusion with a maximum of 10 from 6pm at the Green Halls in Riyadh.
