Neil Robertson v Elliot Slessor live stream | Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters Semi-Final preview
Neil Robertson goes head to head with Elliot Slessor on Friday for a place in this year’s Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters final.
The first semi-final at the Green Halls in Jeddah brings a battle of the left-handers, with either Ronnie O’Sullivan or Chris Wakelin awaiting the winner in Sunday’s showpiece.
Robertson has dominated the head-to-head record with three wins from three meetings. Not only that, but he has reeled off 12 successive frames against Slessor from 3-1 down in their first ever showdown at the 2014 Paul Hunter Classic.
The Thunder, who was also victorious in their clashes at the 2020 German Masters and 2022 English Open, will progress to his 39th ranking final should he continue that streak here.
Robertson has been in fine scoring form this week with six centuries, while taking out Ben Woollaston, Mark Selby and Ali Carter along the way.
While the former World champion eyes his 39th ranking final, it would be a first in the career of Slessor, who has already secured his biggest payday by guaranteeing at least £100,000.
The Gateshead left-hander’s route to his fifth ranking semi-final has been quite remarkable. Having trailed 4-1 and by 50 points against Lan Yuhao in round four, he has recovered to prevail in four successive deciding frames.
Not only that, Slessor has taken out three former World champions on the bounce in John Higgins, Stuart Bingham and Mark Williams, so he will certainly not be deterred at the prospect of claiming the scalp of another here.
The match breaks off at 12pm BST on Friday and will be contested over the best of 11 frames at the Green Halls in Jeddah.
