Kyren Wilson renews his rivalry with Stephen Maguire on day three at the Scottish Open, with Mark Selby and Mark Allen also in action.

The second round takes centre stage on Wednesday with some mouth-watering ties to look forward to at Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh.

World champion Wilson headlines the action as he goes head to head with home favourite Maguire in a rerun of their UK Championship clash a fortnight ago.

The Warrior – a two-time quarter-finalist in this event – prevailed 6-0 in York, and will be targeting more of the same as he looks to remain on course for his third silverware of the season.

Elsewhere, John Higgins – a two-time beaten Scottish Open finalist – locks horns with UK Championship runner-up Barry Hawkins, with another tasty clash pitting two-time champion Mark Selby against Noppon Saengkham, who reached last year’s final.

Mark Allen, the 2018 champion, goes up against Ryan Day, while 2021 winner Luca Brecel takes on 2023 semi-finalist Zhou Yuelong.

Ding Junhui plays Jackson Page and Shaun Murphy faces Lei Peifan, as Zhang Anda and Chris Wakelin collide in an all top-16 clash.

Ali Carter does battle with Robbie Williams, and Si Jiahui goes head to head with Jack Lisowski in what promises to be an attacking encounter.

Neil Robertson, who lifted the trophy in 2017, takes on recently crowned Shoot Out champion Tom Ford, while Wuhan Open winner Xiao Guodong faces Crucible finalist Jak Jones.

Wu Yize and Ishpreet Singh Chadha do battle in a repeat of this season’s English Open semi-final, which the Chinese won 6-0, as former World champion Stuart Bingham plays David Lilley.

Former Scottish Open finalist Joe O’Connor takes on Long Zehuang, who dethroned reigning champion Gary Wilson in round one, while local favourite Dean Young clashes with Xing Zihao in what will be his first last-32 appearance at a ranking event.

Play gets under way at 10am GMT on Wednesday with all matches contested over the best of seven frames at Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh.
