Scottish Open Snooker 2024 | Draw, Live Scores and Schedule of Play
The 2024 Scottish Open takes place in Edinburgh this week, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.
Part three of the 2024-25 Home Nations series takes place at Meadowbank Sports Centre from December 9-15.
All players ranked 33rd or lower were required to win between one and two qualifying-round matches in Sheffield in October, with ties involving the top 32 seeds held over to the main venue.
Gary Wilson was the two-time defending champion, having lifted the Stephen Hendry trophy for the second successive year 12 months ago after beating Noppon Saengkham 9-5 in the final.
However, the Tyneside Terror’s latest title defence fell at the first hurdle, following a 4-2 defeat by Long Zehuang.
Nevertheless, four other former Scottish Open champions are still standing, including two-time victor Mark Selby and Neil Robertson, who lifted this trophy in 2017. Meanwhile, Mark Allen and Luca Brecel reigned in 2018 and 2021 respectively.
Two-time runner-up John Higgins will be looking to make it third time lucky at his home event, but faces competition from the likes of World champion Kyren Wilson and Ding Junhui.
Judd Trump, Ronnie O’Sullivan and Mark Williams have withdrawn from the event, but the likes of Shaun Murphy, Ali Carter and UK Championship finalist Barry Hawkins are among the top-16 players in contention.
All matches up to and including the Last 16 are to be contested over the best of seven frames, with Quarter-Finals best of nine, Semi-Finals best of 11 and the final best of 17.
