Former World Champions Neil Robertson and Mark Selby go head-to-head for the second successive event as they face off in the quarter-finals of the Tour Championship.
The pair met in the Players Championship less than a fortnight ago, with Robertson prevailing 6-3, having also won 5-3 in their showdown at the Saudi Arabia Masters last September.
Robertson is the number three seed in this week’s draw, having claimed both the English Open and World Grand Prix titles this season to take his overall tally of career ranking silverware to 25.
The Australian boasts a magnificent record in this event, having being crowned champion in each of his last two appearances (2021 and 2022), while also finishing runner-up in 2019.
The left-hander was beaten 6-5 by eventual champion Kyren Wilson in the semi-finals of the recent Players Championship and has climbed back into the world’s top ten.
Selby is making his sixth appearance in the Tour Championship and has reached the semi-finals on three occasions, most recently two years ago.
The four-time World Champion has claimed the British Open and Welsh Open titles this season and got his Tour Championship campaign off and running with a 10-6 victory over Si Jiahui on Tuesday with high breaks of 136 and 128.
Of their 28 previous meetings dating back to 2006, Robertson has prevailed on 19 occasions, including nine of their last ten.
The match gets under way from 7pm BST for a maximum of eight frames, before resuming to a finish over the best of 19 frames from 1pm on Thursday.
Either reigning World Champion Kyren Wilson or International Championship winner Ding Junhui will await the winner in the semi-finals.
