Shaun Murphy will play Judd Trump in the Turkish Masters semi-finals after a dramatic 5-4 victory over Oliver Lines on Friday.

Another exciting day of action at the Nirvana Cosmopolitan Hotel in Antalya saw 16 players whittled down to the final four.

Murphy will appear in his first ranking semi-final of the season after denying Lines on the final black.

The Magician led 1-0 and 3-2 but eventually fell 4-3 behind against the world number 69, who was making his maiden appearance at this stage of a ranking event.

Former World champion Murphy produced a timely break of 106 to force a decider, in which Lines was two pots away from reaching the last four.

The Leeds left-hander, who earlier saw off Yan Bingtao in a decider, had built a healthy lead, but missed a long 13th red with the pressure intensifying.

Nevertheless, his opponent held his nerve; producing a cool 44 clearance to snatch a dramatic win.

Next up for Murphy is Welsh Open runner-up Trump, who is set for his second semi-final in as many weeks after defeating Ali Carter 5-3.

The Captain twice came from behind with breaks of 133 and 79 to level at 3-3, but the Ace prevailed thanks to a top run of 96.

Meanwhile, Ding Junhui continued his resurgence with a commanding 5-1 victory over Graeme Dott, who beat John Higgins earlier on.

The Dragon reached his first ranking semi-final since claiming his third UK Championship title in December 2019; hitting breaks of 102, 72 and 64 along the way.

He will play Matthew Selt, who overcame Martin Gould 5-3 to reach the last four of a ranking event for the first time this season.

The former Indian Open champion trailed 2-0, but had runs of 118, 90, 89 and 58 as he won five of the next six frames to prevail.
