Judd Trump produced a brilliant turnaround to stun Liang Wenbo 5-4 and book his place in the Turkish Masters last 16 on Thursday.

Just 16 players remain in Antalya following another dramatic day of action at the Nirvana Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Trump, who captured the Champion of Champions crown in November, is still seeking his first ranking title of the season.

Runner-up to Joe Perry at the Welsh Open last week, the Ace looked set for an early exit in Turkey as he trailed 4-1 against fellow left-hander Liang.

The Firecracker, who beat Trump to claim his sole career ranking title at the 2016 English Open, looked set for a first victory over the Bristolian in nine attempts since after breaks of 55, 96 and 118.

However, the former World champion dug deep to force a decider, in which a timely run of 72 saw him breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Next up for Trump is another Chinese opponent in Zhou Yuelong, who also prevailed 5-4 against Scottish Open champion Luca Brecel.

Meanwhile, Ding Junhui recovered from 3-1 down to beat Kyren Wilson 5-3.

The three-time UK champion, who is yet to progress beyond the last 16 of a ranking event this term, hit back-to-back centuries as he reeled off four successive frames.

After defeating Mark Allen earlier this week, Jak Jones overturned a 4-2 deficit to deny Shootout winner Hossein Vafaei. The Welshman set up a showdown with Shaun Murphy, who overcame Jimmy Robertson 5-3.

Ali Carter produced a 60 clearance from 56-11 down in the decider to defeat fellow two-time Crucible finalist Matthew Stevens in a high-quality encounter that produced a century and eight breaks over 50.

Former Masters champion Yan Bingtao also prevailed in a deciding frame against Elliot Slessor, but Jack Lisowski was ousted by former German Masters winner Martin Gould.
