The first Triple Crown event of the season sees 32 of the world’s top cueists competing for a total prize fund of £1.2 million from November 25 to December 3.
The format for the UK Championship mirrors that of the World Championship, with the top 16 seeds joined in the main event by a further 16 qualifiers.
Mark Allen is the defending champion after he defeated Ding Junhui 10-7 in last year’s final to claim the title for the first time.
World number one Ronnie O’Sullivan is the record seven-time UK Championship title holder and is vying for a 40th career ranking title 30 years on from his maiden triumph in this event.
John Higgins, Neil Robertson and Ding have each claimed this title on three occasions, while Mark Selby and Mark Williams are two-time winners.
Other former champions in action include Judd Trump, Shaun Murphy and Neil Robertson, while former finalists include current World Champion Luca Brecel.
All matches up to and including the Semi-Finals are to be contested over the best of 11 frames, with the final best of 19.
