The 2025-26 snooker season commences with the Wuhan Open qualifiers, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.

Just 48 days after Zhao Xintong became the first Chinese World champion at The Crucible, the new campaign gets under way at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester from June 22-24.

Zhao’s first-round match has been held over to the main venue, as has that of reigning champion Xiao Guodong, world number one Judd Trump and Ronnie O’Sullivan, along with Ding Junhui and four Chinese wildcards.

The main event will staged between August 24-30 at a venue still to be confirmed.

Nevertheless, there will still be plenty of star names on display in Leicester, including world number two Kyren Wilson, plus four-time World champions John Higgins and Mark Selby.

Mark Williams, Neil Robertson and Shaun Murphy are among other former Crucible kings in action, while crowd favourites Jimmy White and Ken Doherty – both appearing via Invitational Tour Cards – will also hope to book their place in Wuhan.

The same can be said for some of the top ladies in the game in Bai Yulu, Reanne Evans and Ng On Yee. New professionals Connor Benzey and Chatchapong Nasa look to hit the ground running on the main tour, as will WSF World Junior champion Leone Crowley and 14-year-old Michal Szubarczyk.

All matches will be contested over the best of nine frames, with the winners booking their places in the final stages of the tournament.
