The 2026 Shanghai Masters is our main focus this week, and a live stream is available to watch all the action online.
Sixteen of the world’s top players descend on Luwan Gymansium for the first high-profile event of the campaign, which takes place between July 27 and August 2.
They will be joined by the four next-best Chinese players and four amateur wildcards for the 17th edition of the popular invitational event, with £210,000 on offer to the winner.
Kyren Wilson is the defending champion after beating Ali Carter 11-9 in the 2025 final.
The Warrior is one of six former winners in this year’s draw, along with five-time victor Ronnie O’Sullivan and two-time champion Ding Junhui.
Judd Trump, John Higgins and Mark Selby are the other players on the roll of honour, though the latter suffered a first-round defeat at the hands of Zhou Yuelong.
Wu Yize steps out for the first time as the reigning World champion, and is joined by the man who recently vacated the crown in Zhao Xintong.
Neil Robertson, Mark Williams, Shaun Murphy and Barry Hawkins also feature in a high-quality field.
