Judd Trump locks horns with Shaun Murphy on Friday for a place in the inaugural Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters final in Riyadh.
Two of snooker’s most attacking players face off in the first of the semi-final showdowns at the Green Halls.
They do so for the second time already this season having already contested the Shanghai Masters showpiece, which Trump won 11-5.
The Ace has prevailed in each of the last four meetings between the players, including a 4-3 win at the Saudi World Masters earlier this year.
He is now seeking his third final appearance in as many events.
Also runner-up to Kyren Wilson at the inaugural Xi’an Grand Prix, Trump has won 13 of his 14 matches this season.
After recovering from 4-0 down to edge out Wu Yize in his opener, he comprehensively swept good friend Jack Lisowski aside 6-1 before putting a resurgent Neil Robertson to the sword 6-3 in the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Murphy is appearing in his second semi-final of the season, already matching his tally for the entire 2023-24 campaign.
The Magician opened with a 5-2 win over Yuan Sijun, before seeing off last season’s Welsh Open semi-finalist Elliot Slessor 6-3 and Xiao Guodong 6-2.
The winner of this match will play either Mark Williams or Si Jiahui in Saturday’s final.
The match gets under way at 12pm BST and will be contested over the best of 11 frames at the Green Halls in Riyadh.
