Jack Lisowski aims to continue his landmark World Championship campaign when he faces four-time champion John Higgins in the Quarter-Finals at The Crucible.

Less than 24 hours after pulling off arguably the biggest win of his career so far, Lisowski returns to action for another huge clash against one of the sport’s all-time greats.

The 30-year-old defied a maximum break from Neil Robertson on Monday night to close out a thrilling 13-12 victory and reach the Last Eight in Sheffield for the first time.

Under the guidance of 2002 World Champion Peter Ebdon, Lisowski now looks to have the required temperament to add to his unquestionable talent.

The six-time ranking event finalist faces Higgins for the second time at The Crucible and will be determined to avenge his crushing 13-1 defeat in the Second Round here four years ago.

Higgins, meanwhile, has charged into his 16th World Championship Quarter-Final courtesy of wins over Thai duo Thepchaiya Un-Nooh and Noppon Saengkham with five centuries along the way.

Four times a ranking event runner-up this season, Higgins is bidding to land the big one for the first time since 2011, having lost in three finals here since 2017.

Higgins has lost just one of his last seven Crucible Quarter-Finals and has won four of his six previous meetings with Lisowski.

The match gets under way from 2.30pm BST on Tuesday April 26 for a maximum of eight frames, resuming from 2.30pm on Wednesday before being played to a finish over the best of 25 frames from 7pm.

Either six-time World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan or former UK Champion Stephen Maguire will await the winner in the Semi-Finals.
