O’Sullivan overcame Judd Trump 10-6 in the 2022 final (Taka G.Wu/Matchroom Multi Sport)

The world’s top players head to Bolton as the 2023 Champion of Champions takes centre stage, and you can follow the latest results and schedule here.

The 11th staging of the invitational event will see 16 tournament winners from the past year compete for glory at the Bolton Whites Hotel between November 13 and 19, with a top prize of £150,000 on offer.

Ronnie O’Sullivan is the reigning champion – the Rocket claiming his record-extending fourth title last year after a 10-6 victory over 2021 winner Judd Trump in the final – but he will not defend the crown after withdrawing on the eve of the event.

Trump is joined in this year’s tournament by two more former champions in John Higgins (2016) and Shaun Murphy (2017), while other big names include Mark Selby, Mark Allen and World champion Luca Brecel.

Trump, Higgins and Selby continue their impressive record of having appeared in every edition of Champion of Champions since its introduction in 2013.

Mark Williams, Ali Carter and Barry Hawkins all return to the event, and there will be debuts for Shoot Out winner Chris Wakelin, World Women’s champion Baipat Siripaporn and recently crowned International Championship victor Zhang Anda.

As usual, the 16 players will be split into four groups, playing two best-of-seven Group Semi-Finals and a best-of-11 Group Final in one day.

Group winners progress to the Semi-Finals, which will also be contested over 11 frames, before the best of 19 will determine the winner of Sunday’s final.
