The 11th ranking tournament of the season and the penultimate event in this season’s Home Nation Series sees 64 players battling it out for £550,000 in prize money at the Meadowbank Sports Centre from December 9-15.

All tour professionals are required to win one qualifying match in order to book their place in the main draw.

Gary Wilson is the reigning and two-time Scottish Open champion after defeating Noppon Saengkham 9-5 in last year’s final.

Wilson is among a star-studded field in Edinburgh which also includes seven-time World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan, current World Champion Kyren Wilson and four-time World Champions Mark Selby and John Higgins.

Former Scottish Open champions Mark Allen, Neil Robertson and Luca Brecel are also bidding to reclaim the title.
